How the Program Works
General Comments
The Chamber's site is comprised of approx 100+ pages of information and more than 300 member listings. The site uses a data base so that any list of members such as Art Galleries is displayed in random order. "AAA" Art Gallery would not, for example, always be displayed at the top of the list. The site includes a Vacation Planner to allow visitors to create their own four color brochure.
Enhanced Listings
Members can support our Domestic Marketing program with the purchase of Enhanced Listings. Each consists of a link to a specific page on your web-site with a 50 word narrative, company picture or logo, and an e-mail link. Your first enhanced listing provides links on 2 pages, with the first installed on the page where your business is currently listed, and the second on your town page.
Make Changes to your Listing
You will be given a password which allows you to make changes to each individual listing as often as you wish, creating a truly interactive site. Listings are valid for one year with all funds going to the domestic marketing budget.
Web-Site Promotion
A. The Okemo Valley Regional Guide has the Chamber Web-site listed on every page. There are 60,000 Guides produced each year (Summer and Winter).
B. Over 13,000 CD-Rom promotional Videos, which link directly to specific pages on the Chamber Site, have been produced with 4,000 distributed through April 1st.
C. The site does well in the search engines and efforts continue to enhance positioning.
