Fall Golf Invitational

OKEMO VALLEY REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
ANNUAL GOLF INVITATIONAL
OKEMO VALLEY, Vt. – The Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce will be hosting it’s annual golf tournament on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the Okemo Valley Golf Club in Ludlow, VT. Fun competitions like closest to the pin, a hole-in-one (sponsored by Benson’s Chevrolet of Ludlow), longest drive and team scores will be the focus of the day. Teams will be given the opportunity at check-in that morning to purchase Mulligan’s, which will allow teams to improve their scores with more swings per hole. The tournament will be followed by a buffet lunch and awards ceremony.
Greens fees, which include shared cart, buffet lunch, golfer’s goodies at check-in and the awards ceremony are $110 per golfer, or $440 per team of four players. Hole sponsorships are also available.
Chamber members are welcome to contact the main office to request a team registration form and for more information regarding hole sponsorships. Registrations are due to the Okemo Valley Chamber office in Ludlow, no later that Tuesday, September 4, 2007.

Chamber Seeks Regional Photos
The OVRCC is seeking photos from the Okemo Valley region to use is future publications and on its website. We are seeking photos which are distinctive to: Cavendish, Chester, Plymouth, Ludlow, Mount Holly and Weston.
We are seeking photos which show really good composition, colors and detail. All submissions will be reviewed by the Chamber to promote the region and to develop a library of images for future.
If you would like to submit photos, mail or bring them to the Chamber office in Ludlow, in digital format on CD. To be used for print, the images must have a resolution of 300 dpi or more. Please let us know if you require Acknowledgement of Use for your images.

PHASE II OF BRANDING PROGRAM BEGINS FOR
OKEMO VALLEY REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Okemo Valley, VT. The Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce (OVRCC) launched Phase II of it¹s branding efforts on Thursday morning, August 2. Through ongoing efforts of the Branding Task Force Committee, the OVRCC has announced it will begin the marketing design and development stage of its two year regional branding effort.
Research, which was completed in May of 2006 and sat dormant for almost nine months, is now being put to use to develop new marketing tools for the chamber of commerce. According to Jim Kubec, the committee’s spokes person “the branding committee has done a great job of getting people re-invigorated. The results show in our fundraising efforts this spring and summer. We’ve raised $12,000 toward our target and are now ready to move ahead to the second Phase.”
The Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce has partnered with The Communicators Group of Brattleboro, VT to develop a new logo, tagline, ads and web marketing materials, which will be the basis for a common message promoted by members of the chamber of commerce.
Phase II is scheduled for completion in the Fall of 2007 and continues to look for contributions to promote its future.

Call to Artisans -- Applications Available
Applications for the 2007 Chester Craft Fair produced by the Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce will be available in January. The Fair is highly advertised in print media and on the web. The show takes place outdoors, “rain or shine." Participants need to provide their own canopies. There is overnight security on Saturday for the fair.
Recipient of the TOP TEN FALL EVENT 2006 designation, Chester Craft Fair recreates an old time Market Day on the Chester Green. Many craftspeople consider Chester among the best of the local shows they attend. Over 70 vendors set up tents, canopies and tables to display and sell a wide variety of items from handmade quilts, turned wooden bowls, jewelry, watercolor paintings, knit wear, and specialty items for pets. Food vendors provide the best in street fare, community groups offer baked goods, and music provide entertainment for the crowd. The eclectic nature of the fair attracts people from all over New England. The 32nd Annual event takes place on September 22-23, 2007.
