The 2008 Ludlow Winter Carnival features a fun-filled day of outdoor activities for the whole family. Snow-sculptures, hot chocolate, bonfire, fireworks, parade & prizes...Your place in Vermont welcomes you to Winter fun.

Your Place in Vermont celebrates Winter in downtown Ludlow, VT. The 2008 Winter Carnival features a fun-filled day of outdoor activities for the whole family. This year's event celebrates "PIRATES of POWDER".

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd

4:00pm - Snow Sculpture Judging

6:30pm - Town Parade, Main Street, Ludlow

7:300pm - Fireworks, bonfires, hot cocoa, marshmallow roasting at Dorsey Park. Parade prizes awarded.

Join the Pirates of Powder!

On Friday, February 1, 2008, the Winter Carnival begins with area Restaurants & retail Shops and Galleries offering Specials in our Pirates of Powder theme.

The Winter Carnival Parade will highlight this year's "Pirates of Powder" theme. Marching Units, Snow Plows, and Floats are welcome. Please register by contacting the Chamber of Commerce at info.ovrcc@tds.net or 802-228-5830.

All registered parade participants must be at Black River High School by 5:30pm. The parade will leave Black River High School and proceed down Main St., ending at Dorsey Park. The celebration is complete with a fireworks display, a warming bonfire under the dark sky, marshmallow roasting and hot cocoa.

Celebrate the 2008 Ludlow Winter Carnival by submitting your PIRATES of POWDER poem to be in our poetry contest. Send it to info.ovrcc@tds.net by February 1, 2008. Contest winners will be announced on this web site after the event.
